Christmas is really close. I need to finish knitting a pair of baby socks for my goddaughter before christmas. That at least is the only thing I need to knit as a present. Only thing is that I need to take pretty pictures of them before I can give the socks away as a present. So this weekend I really need to finish the socks.
Other than those socks I've been writing patterns for Leaves on pathways and I think that pattern is ready. Now I should just put it up on Ravelry, but that's always scary, maybe I left some horrible and embarrassing mistake on the pattern? Hopefully not, but it'll likely be up during weekend.
I've also been correcting or rather re-writing Journey to Sherwood shawl pattern. I'm still not sure should I just post it as a new pattern or just replace the old pattern with the new, including the changes needles and yarn requirements... This will need further consideration. I might as well try take new photos for the shawl pattern as the previous ones are from 2011 and photo quality isn't that great.
Recently I wrote down a list of knits I need to write pattern for. That was only eight knits. Eight knits I have knitted at least once and I need to and want to make pattern for them. Eight might not sound a lot, but two of those are cardigans. I've never tried writing a pattern for a cardigan, not for others to use. I've obviously got my notes, but they really are just few sketches, measurements and stitch counts. The problem also is that the cardigans are really designed just for my body and adapting the pattern for several sizes is something I need to learn how to do.
Eight doesn't really mean that includes all the ideas I have that really want to make all the way to projects. Those eight are just the things I can name, even if the names a vague as "the cable knit cardigan" or "JHW hat". So I've got a lot of knitting, planning and pattern writing ahead of me. What else would I like to do during christmas holidays besides knitting and eating chocolate? Nothing.
