It's been a while! This wasn't supposed to happen, but time just runs so fast! What have I been up to? Well, besides doing other things that knitting... I've been knitting. Hah hah. I did also go to ice skating for the first time in about ten years. I was rather surprised that my skates still fit. Not a lot have happened really. Before chirstmas I ordered couple books online as a present for myself and I got them just before christmas. I didn't expect them to arrive so early as they were meant to be delivered early January, but for some reason they arrived early. So basically the whole christmas I spent browsing these books and think about all the ways I could use the stitches...
As for christmas presents, that wasn't only knitting related thing I got. Santa Claus brought me also a new 3,5mm 80cm circular needle from the local yarn / crafts store. I might have told Mom Santa Claus exactly what to get. The first circular needle I ever had was also 3,5mm needle bought from the same place for a christmas present. It's still my favourite knitting needle.
Oh, before christmas I bought yarn I didn't need. I wasn't supposed to just suddenly buy yarn I don't need. I really don't need any more yarn that I don't have specific use for ready. Well, it did end up decorating my christmas tree for a while, before I put up the real decorations. Basically I just went to local yarn store and the owner talked to me so many times in there that I was too embarrassed to leave without buying anything and that's how ended up with three new skeins of yarn. Why does this happen to me so often?
Around new yarn year I finally got Netflix, so that I could watch the fourth series of Sherlock. I ended up watching the new series of my teenager Sundays favourite TV show. Yes, I mean Gilmore Girls. Why is it worth mentioning here? Because what do my eyes see? A interesting scarf. No, I didn't pause to figure out how the scarf was knitted, of course not. Why would you think that? Okay, I did. Paris, I need your scarf so that I can knit one for myself! It just looks really interesting!
I also knitted a shawl during the holidays. I might be writing a pattern to it. Now I just need to decide is it going to be in DK or in fingering weight yarn that I end up using in the final version... I know I was supposed to finish the final version of updated Journey to Sherwood (that pattern is causing me too much stress), but I hardly had time to be on my computer during holidays, so I still need to do some checking before uploading the new version of the pattern... There simply are too many things to do besides knitting, even if that's the only thing I really want to do.
